Training Course
22-26 October 2026 | Spain
DIGI-DEM – Digital Participation for Democratic Youth Work is an Erasmus+ training course designed for youth workers, educators, trainers, and professionals active in non-formal education who wish to strengthen young people's participation in democratic life through the meaningful use of digital technologies.
The training explores how digital tools, online collaboration, and innovative educational approaches can enhance civic engagement, active citizenship, youth participation, and democratic dialogue. Through interactive workshops, simulations, collaborative challenges, peer learning, reflection sessions, and practical activities, participants will discover how to design engaging learning experiences that combine digital innovation with democratic values.
Throughout the course, participants will develop practical competences in using digital platforms for participation, facilitating inclusive online collaboration, promoting media and information literacy, encouraging critical thinking, and supporting young people in becoming active and responsible digital citizens. Particular attention will be given to creating safe and inclusive digital spaces where diverse voices can be heard and meaningful participation can flourish.
The training also provides opportunities to exchange good practices, explore successful initiatives from different European countries, and develop new project ideas responding to current challenges in youth participation and democratic engagement. Participants will leave with concrete methods, digital resources, and educational tools that can be directly transferred to their everyday youth work.
DIGI-DEM is specifically aimed at youth workers, trainers, educators, volunteers, and representatives of youth organisations who are interested in integrating digital technology into non-formal education while fostering democratic participation, inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship among young people. The course also seeks to strengthen international cooperation and build sustainable partnerships within the Erasmus+ and European youth work community.
