Development of European Voluntary Service Projects
The seminar aims to promote and develop European Voluntary Service activities in the Balkan countries and to develop EVS sending and hosting projects between partners from 3 YOUTH programme countries (France, Italy and Slovenia) and 3 countries in South-e
The seminar wants:
- To provide the possibility to find partners for future projects;
- To provide a space for learning about each other’s realities, especially the specificities of European volunteering to and from the Balkans;
- To provide training in some technical, administrative, and educational aspects of organising EVS projects in order to ensure the quality of the projects, and
- in particular, to prepare participants for developing concrete EVS hosting and/or sending projects within the year following the contact making seminar.
30 participants will be invited: 15 from the countries of the participating National Agencies – France, Italy and Slovenia -, and 15 from Partner countries in South-east Europe - Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia and Montenegro.
Preferably, participants from South-east Europe should come from youth organisations, or youth activities related organisations, or organisations with an interest in European awareness issues. They should further have knowledge about the YOUTH Programme (especially EVS) and/or have some experience in organising YOUTH projects (preferably EVS) and be motivated to develop an EVS project after the seminar (to send and/or host volunteer/s within next 12 months).
The call for participants with more detailed information and the application form can be downloaded from www.salto-youth.net/SEEseminars/.
