DEC: Fostering Youth Engagement for a Safer Environment and Responsible Use of ICT

From February 2023 DEC will provide a virtual educational and capacity-building program that fuses educational modules on digital and environmental citizenship with policy seminars and encourages young people (the target identified for our proposal is young people between 18 and 25 years old, however, we will accept everyone who wants to participate) to generate ideas for change. 

There are three major activities in our project. The first two have to do with development of educational materialand implementation of training relevant to digital citizenship and environmental citizenship, while the other dealswith the dissemination and communication of the project, and the thesis of the youth in the sectors of environmentand digitalization to the broader public audience.

KEY FACTS ABOUT THE ONLINE EXECUTIVE TRAINING

• 2 hours per week online class x 12 weeks (February-April 2023)  
• 2-Day Workshop on Youth Participation and Policy Briefs writing  
• Developing Policy Briefs/ Action Plans  
• 8 “Dialogues” with Policy-Makers and various Stakeholders   
• Youthpass cetificate 
• No participation fees  

WHAT TO EXPECT

• Training on opportunities for youth participation, and promotion of youth’s positions
