Debunker Summer School of Media Literacy | NECE Lab

Training Course

10-13 August 2026 | Horní Sokolovec, Czech Republic

This Lab offers young people interested in media literacy the learning opportunity to strengthen critical thinking, navigate today’s information landscape, and explore practical tools for becoming informed, active, and engaged citizens.

Are you curious about how media shapes our opinions and everyday decisions? Would you like to explore, in an international setting, how misinformation, conspiracy theories, and manipulation emerge, spread, and persist - and learn how to recognise and challenge them more effectively?

Then join our Debunker Summer School of Media Literacy Lab, where you will explore these topics through interactive workshops, educational games, and hands-on activities. Together, we will strengthen our critical thinking skills, learn how to navigate today's information landscape, and discover practical tools for becoming more informed and active citizens.

Who should apply?

We are looking for young people between 18–30 years old, resident in an European country and are active in their communities. Applicants should be interested in media, disinformation, and critical thinking, and enjoy learning through interactive, experience-based activities and games.

Make sure to apply on time, as available spots are limited! We look forward to welcoming you to an inspiring week of learning, discussions, and international friendships.

Deadline for applications: 8 July 2026

Selected participants will be informed shortly after the deadline.

This event is organised by Fakescape z.s. in collaboration with THE CIVICS Innovation Hub.

NECE is financially supported by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education | bpb, and led by THE CIVICS Innovation Hub.
