Seminar

23-29 October 2017 | Slovenia

The seminar for 28 youth workers and trainers with experience in online learning in non-formal education will explore further possibilities of online learning for youth workers and create new tools and methods with the help of IT specialists.
Create ON-line Learning tools seminar will gather trainers, youth workers and experts in using online tools in non-formal education programs in order to discuss possibilities of online learning in the context of non-formal education, especially for programs of education of youth workers. Together with experts in ICT we will explore ways of improving existing tools and creating new ones in order to make them more interactive, experiential and suitable for developing knowledge, skills, attitudes and values important in youth work. In the last 3 days of the seminar a group of ICT experts will give technical support in creating new e-learning tools, according to the needs expressed by practitioners of NFE in youth work. After the seminar, the teams created during the activity (trainers, educators in youth field and ICT experts) will get support from project team to continue working on the tools for online learning in order to get them ready for public promotion and usage. We are searching for 4 participants per country for the mixed group of 28 NFE practitioners and ICT experts. The seminar will last for 6 working days from 23rd until 29th of October 2017 with short online support in preparation of participants and follow up in order to facilitate and support creation, fine tuning and testing of online learning tools. This seminar is part of larger project “European Wide Web of Youth Work” supported by Erasmus + programme and aimed at fostering the usage of online tools in non-formal education in order to improve quality of programmes for education of youth leaders and youth workers available. The project is already supporting implementation of 8 online courses for youth workers and youth leaders, created during training course „Swich ON-line Learning“, held in June, as it will support creation of new online learning tools after this seminar. Online manual for online learning in non-formal education and youth work will also be created in the frame of this project. Partners on this project are: National Association of Youth Workers from Serbia; Professional Open Youth Work in Europe from Austria; Social Academy from Slovenia, Associazione Interculturale NUR from Italy; NGO Nectarus from Lithuania, Croatian Youth Network from Croatia; Beroepsvereniging Kinder - en Jongerenwerkers from the Netherlands.
