Cooperative Learning is an important and useful approach:learning by doing,together with the group,is a kind of process composed by many tools and techniques,that are useful in social and educative contexts. The course shows an excursus of the main ones.
The main methodologies used, are: co-operative learning action methods (role playing situations, game simulations) group discussions and reflections case studies observation in situation Here below you can have a look of the programme. Arrival: on Sunday 1° DAY (Monday)n° hh: 7 8.30am-9.00am Registration of participants 9.00am-1.00pm 2.30pm-5.30pm o Trainers and L’ARCOBALENO SERVIZI Presentation o Course “Cooperative Learning" o Participants presentation (1st instrument: an example of “skillbuilder”) o Pre-evaluation about precognitions (2nd instrument) o Group dynamic Exercise (3rd instrument) about: Positive interdependence, Face to face promotive interaction, Individual and group accountability, Group processing Welcome dinner 2° DAY n° hh: 6 9.00am-12.30pm 3.00pm-5.30pm Preparing application of cooperative learning method (1ST PART) Contents: • How to create the task • How to form groups • How to prepare the setting • How to give instructions • Role of observer (4th and 5th instruments) 3° DAY n° hh: 6 8.30am-12.30pm 1.30-3.50 Preparing application of cooperative learning method (2nd PART) Contents: • How to define roles • How to define time (6th instrument and 7th instrument) 3° DAY In the afternoon Visit to Reggio Emilia with guide 4° DAY n°hh: 7 8.30am-12.30pm Visit to schools (Preschool, Primary and Secondary) and meeting with teachers and head teacher (it’s possible to meet pupils in Preschool and students in the primary and secondary school). Presentation of a project about Active Citizenship thanks to a cooperative group. 2.30pm-5.30pm Visit to an International Centre of Child’s Care-SOCIAL PREVENTION Contents: • Simulation in cooperative laboratories: creative and expressive laboratory and intercultural laboratory. (8th instrument) 5° DAY n° hh: 6,5 9.00am-12.30pm 2.30pm-5.30pm o To Create a planning of dissemination o Cooperative Learning Method to develop a Web Community (exploitation) o Presentation of an International University Network Farewell Dinner (typical regional food) Departure: on Saturday Objectives: - Providing knowledge of Cooperative Learning Method - Observing Cooperative Contexts (educational and social contexts: schools, prevention places) - Providing theoretical and practical knowledge how to development social and learning skills thanks to cooperative activities - Projecting Cooperative Learning Contexts (cooperative exercises and methods) Creating a positive cooperative climate in contexts (educational, social and intercultural) This course is upload in Grundtvig-Comenius database. L’Arcobaleno Servizi was founded, as an association, in 1993, with primary objectives to develop the inclusion of all children/students in conditions of difficulty, in particular with learning disabilities and other psychological diseases or disadvantages and to support families. It became SOCIAL COOPERATIVE in 2006 and started to work to European Level in 2008.

Costs

The course, in the complete version, has been validated to the National Agency (ex- Indire). European participants could receive an INDIVIDUAL GRANT to cover your expenses (course, travel, accomodation) under the LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME.
