Partnership-building Activity

4-8 June 2012 | Langvassheimen (Steinkjer), Norway

This contact making seminar gives youth workers a concrete possibility to start working on future youth exchanges using outdoor activities.
Participant profile: -Youth workers with outdoors experience or who want to get outdoor experience. Please notice that several activities will take place outdoors, so participants have to be motivated to spend long days in nature even if it might be raining ;-) - Participants working directly with the young people (co-ordinators and/or directors of organisations who don’t work directly with young people will not be prioritized). - The participants should be interested in engaging in an international project, but former international experience is not necessary. - Participants should be minimum 18 years old and able to express themselves in English. - Only participants legally residing in a Youth in Action programme country will be considered. Objectives: - To find partners for future cooperation and be inspired to work internationally. - To learn more about Youth in Action in general and Youth Exchanges in particular - To explore the possibilities of an outdoors exchange within the frames of Youth in Action - To learn how to use outdoor methods for Non-formal learning Team: Wim Vogelaere, Tor Moltu, Katarzyna Giecewicz, Joao Carvalho & Gry Nesse Methods: Methods will be non-formal and interactive, and will include games, group work, discussions, exchange of experience and practical examples. Be prepared to share! Venue: Langvassheimen. The venue is situated about 3 hours from Trondheim Airport, Værnes. Participants: Maximum 25 participants from Norway, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Croatia, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium (FL), Poland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Ireland, Turkey, Romania and Switzerland. If we have available places we will open for participants from other EU countries.

Costs

Food and accommodation for the selected participants will be covered by the organiser. Your National Agency (NA) will cover travel costs according to their national policies. Please contact your NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
