This training course will fulfil the need to find the space for youth’s contribution in making local changes which are needed to make the life of small local communities better, more integrated and cooperative.
Aim:
- To empower young people´s active participation in local communities.
Objectives of the training course:
- To make young people aware that they are important part of local community and could work for its common welfare
- To discover various methods of finding local needs and possible ways to meet them through various activities
- To experience how efficiently create the space for youth´s initiative in specific local conditions
- To share good practices in making impact in local communities
- To present possibilities of international cooperation in the framework of new programme Erasmus + to influence local reality.
Target group:
This training course is meant for youth leaders who:
- are from 18 to 30 years old
- have experience in organising at least 1 activity for/with local community e.g. volunteering, Youth Initiatives project or organizing other local actions
- are willing to continue and expand their work for the local communities and are open to international cooperation
- are committed to attend for the full duration of the course
- are able to communicate and work in English
- are residents of the ‘Youth in Action’ Programme Countries and SEE and EECA regions (we will invite 2 people from SEE and 2 from EECA region).

Costs
This training course is co-organized by the Polish and Slovak National Agency of the ‘Youth in Action’ Programme.
- Board and lodging will be provided and paid by the organizers.
- Participants coming from Programme Countries: travel costs can be covered by your National Agency according to their own rules (please check before applying).
- Participants coming from EECA and SEE Countries: 100% of travel and visa costs will be covered by the Polish NA, selection will be done by SALTO EECA and SALTO SEE (no fee).
- In some cases National Agencies ask for a participant’s contribution. Please, check this out with your National Agency.
- Any insurance, especially medical, is a private responsibility of each participant.
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
