E-learning
9 June 2023 | Zoom, Croatia
The online training is designed to equip policymakers, youth workers, and youth professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively promote and advocate for democracy in their work with youth and for the youth. The main objective of the training is to raise awareness about the importance of voting and e-democracy and to inspire professionals with a better understanding of the values and threats to liberal democracy in the European Union.
Throughout the training, participants will be introduced to a range of topics, including the principles of democracy, the role of voting in a democratic society, and the impact of e-democracy on political participation. They will also learn about the challenges that threaten liberal democracy in the EU and how to address them effectively.
The training will be delivered through a combination of interactive online sessions, presentations, and group discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with expert trainers and fellow educators and to share their own experiences and insights.
By the end of the training, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to promote democracy and encourage active citizenship through their work. They will have a better understanding of the values that underpin liberal democracy in the EU and be better equipped to address the challenges that threaten it.
The Capacity Building will be held online on 9th of June from 16.00 to 19.00 CET.
AP8 is a project funded by the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), CERV-2022-CITIZENS-CIV, Citizens’ Engagement and Participation strand. The partnership is composed of three European organisations: CESIE (Italy, coordinator), ERASMUS STUDENT NETWORK (ESN) Dubrovnik (Croatia), and ACTIVE CITIZENS PARTNERSHIP (Greece).
The goals of AP8 are as follows:
Upon completion of the online training, a certificate of attendance will be sent to all participants. This certificate will serve as evidence of their participation in the training and can be used for professional development purposes. The certificate will include the participant's name, the name of the training program, the duration of the training, and any other relevant information. We hope that this certificate will be a valuable asset for participants as they continue their professional development and advocate for democracy in their classrooms and communities.
