Bodies in Dialogue

Training Course

10-18 October 2026 | France

Experiential Erasmus+ training for youth workers exploring the body as a tool to embody consent and inclusion through somatic practices, Contact Improvisation and collective learning.

Bodies in Dialogue is a 9-day Erasmus+ training course for youth workers and community practitioners interested in exploring embodiment, consent and relational approaches in youth work and non-formal education.

The training brings together participants from France, Spain, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Sweden to explore how the body can become a tool for inclusion, communication, wellbeing and group facilitation.

The course is specifically addressed to people active in youth work and non-formal learning contexts, including social work, arts, sports, community work, education and activism. Participants are expected to actively engage in the collective learning process and to transfer the learning into their local contexts through follow-up activities after the training.

Through Somatic Practices, Contact Improvisation and Consent-Based Approaches, participants will develop practical tools for:

  • emotional regulation, resilience and burnout prevention
  • non-verbal communication and relational awareness
  • consent and boundaries
  • co-regulation, empathy and mutual listening
  • adapting embodied tools to youth and community contexts

The methodology combines experiential learning, movement practices like Body Mind Centering and Contact Improvisation, reflection, group processes and collective living. Rather than focusing only on theoretical discussions, the project invites participants to learn through direct embodied experience and relational practice.

The project takes place in a residential venue in the French Pyrenees, where nature, shared daily life and community care become part of the pedagogical experience.

At Tatami Talks, we believe in a society where everyone is aware of power dynamics and the resulting discriminations and violences, and where there is a shared commitment to creating safer environments for all.

To this end, we provide trainings and resources that support individuals and organisations in embodying a culture of consent and inclusivity.

Rooted in the acroyoga community, Tatami Talks has since expanded its work to the broader field of sport and movement-based practices, addressing the specific challenges related to power, consent and inclusion in these contexts.
