This seminar aims to improve the quality of the youth work developing knowledge, competences and ability which will support the youth work with a more inclusive approach towards youngsters with fewer opportunities.
“Behind the youth work – second edition” – seminar, which aims to improve the quality of the youth work developing knowledge, competences and ability which will support the youth work with a more inclusive approach towards youngsters with fewer opportunities. Participants will get familiar with the terminology and tools in inclusive youth work, analysing the meaning of fewer opportunities, problems and obstacles that youngster can face in their life and it will give the opportunity to elaborate creative tools to use in their youth work at local level. They will discover how to use Youth In Action (Erasmus+) as a tool for Inclusion of youngster and how to recognize their learning outcomes and to transfer it also out of non-formal education context and into the job market. The project will use non formal education methods and it will based on active participation balancing theoretical input with practical ones (learning by doing, simulations, etc.). We would like to invite to seminar people, which are youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers that: - work with young people, but want to make their work more inclusive and who want to be actively engaged with this theme - a person who is already experienced about youth work itself (as professional or volunteer), he/she, knows tools and activities and she/he would like to be involved in a long – term perspectives in youth fields through the activities of promoter NGO’s - are willing to develop their competences in field of inclusive youth work and share their nowledge, skills and experiences with other participants - ideally, but not compulsory are working with young people with fewer opportunities (e.g., disabled young people, people from rural areas, economically less developed areas, migrants, minority groups and so on) on local, national or international level - would like to get practical and theoretical knowledge, how to create their work more inclusive towards people with and without fewer opportunities - are able to communicate in English (The official language of the training course will be English). If participant has bad or does not have any English skills, the partner organisation is responsible for the translations during the training course. It won’t be covered by the organisers) - are at least 18 years old - are motivated to be fully involved in preparation process (homework’s) and attend at least 98% of the seminar - are motivated to take part in after seminar (evaluation, self assessment, etc.)

Youth In Progress Austria has been founded in summer 2008 as a support organization for young people (especially for young people with disabilities).
AIM – to support young people in developing their skills and knowledge and realize their ideas.
We focus our activities on young people with fewer opportunities, especially disabled people. We do all things mentioned above in corporation with international organizations to share experiences and knowledge.
The members of organization are people with and without disabilities, who want to share their knowledge and skills about the topics connected with Youth In Action program, disability field, etc.
Organization is consulting interesents on: accessibility in projects, adapting non – formal learning methods, EU “Youth In Action” program; non – formal education, project management, etc.

Costs

The seminar is free of any participation fee. Austrian National Agency of EU “Youth In Action” program, Styrian Federal State Government (Youth and Family Department) and Youth In Progress Austria will cover accommodation, training course materials, meals. Participants and/or partner organisations should cover 30% of the travel costs

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
