This 5 working days seminar with training elements, will deal with the thematic of “How to increase the quality in EVS through a practical approach”.

Be a musketeer for EVS!
The French and Cypriot National Agencies for Youth in Action Programme organise a 5 working days seminar with training elements, dealing with the thematic of “How to increase the quality in EVS through a practical approach”.
The seminar will be held:
- from 24th to 30th of June 2012 (arrival and departure days)
- in the Parisian Region of France
The flow of the programme will be mainly based on exchanges of experiences, practices and tools.
The expected outcomes are:
- Networking organisations
- Commonly developed tools and strategies
Target group:
This seminar is designed for youth workers, representing accredited EVS sending, hosting or coordinating organisations that have gained experience through finalising more than one EVS projects.
The criteria of application is to have personal experience in sending, hosting and/or coordinating volunteers in short term or long term EVS (mentors, supervisors, task oriented support persons for volunteers) and having sent, hosted, coordinated more than one volunteers.
The call is open for applicants from YiA programme countries (the EU Member States + Croatia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland & Turkey)

• Achieving quality in cooperation
Exploring key components to long term partnership between Sending, Hosting, Coordinating, and ex-Volunteer organisations
Coming to commonly developed project proposals
• Mentorship
Transforming conflicts through an effective communication
Crisis prevention and management
Enhancing volunteers to develop personal projects during EVS
• Reviewing own practices
Recalling our spirit of criticism: is it possible or chimerical?
Making Youthpass a valuable process to all
Making the learning process in EVS coinciding with the professional guidance of the volunteers
Working for the impact of better employability
• Increasing the impact on local communities
Influencing policy makers and local authority by promoting the concept of learning mobility and European citizenship
Meeting and developing cross-sectorial co-operations
Efficiently encourage the benefit of Cultural diversity
• Impact through preparation of a volunteer
Raising awareness on concrete actions and impact of On-arrival/Pre-departure preparations
• Dealing with inclusion
Demystifying the target group(s) of Young People with fewer opportunity.
Exploring means to involve youngsters with fewer opportunity to EVS
Building a tailor-made reinforced mentorship
The team of the training course will be composed by
Jeremy Trémolières (France), EVS officer or French National Agency, ex-EVS
Joao Barata (France), French EVS trainer
Gabriella Zs Nagy (Hungary), Free-lance trainer, member of the SOHO pool of trainers, ex-EVS

Costs
Hosting costs (accomodation and food, content and facilities) are covered by French and Cypriot National Agencies.
Travel costs can be covered partly or completely by the sending National Agency of the selected participants. Please check this point with your NA before applying.
French NA asks participants from France a participation fee of 15 euros by working days, i.e. for this TC, 75 euros.
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
