Artisans in Cooperation: Building Social Craft Partnerships in Europe

We are delighted to invite social cooperatives, craft collectives, and organizations working at the intersection of creativity and social impact to take part in an inspiring online Coffee Talk titled “Artisans in Cooperation: Building Social Craft Partnerships in Europe.” This interactive session will take place on 19 June 2026 and is organised within the framework of the Craftwork4.0All platform, a Creative Europe initiative dedicated to strengthening the role of craftsmanship in social inclusion, sustainability, and innovation across Europe.

Hosted by OECON Group Bulgaria, this Coffee Talk is designed as an open, informal space for dialogue and exchange. With a strong background in EU-funded projects focusing on entrepreneurship, vocational training, and the social economy, OECON brings together diverse communities to spark meaningful collaboration and knowledge sharing. The session reflects this spirit by offering participants the opportunity to meet, connect, and explore common challenges and opportunities within the European craft ecosystem.

At its core, this gathering aims to foster thoughtful discussion around three key themes: sustainability in the craft sector, the role of craftsmanship in promoting social inclusion of vulnerable groups, and the creation of new partnerships for future collaboration. Participants will have the chance to share their experiences, present their initiatives, and engage with peers who are equally committed to combining craft, tradition, and social impact.

This Coffee Talk is particularly relevant for social craft cooperatives, collective workshops, and grassroots initiatives, as well as organisations within the social and solidarity economy that incorporate craft or creative practices into their work. We warmly encourage participation from those working with or supporting vulnerable groups, including individuals in situations of social or labour integration, women, young people, migrants, and persons with disabilities. It is also an excellent opportunity for small organisations and emerging collectives that wish to expand their horizons and connect with a broader European network.

Rather than a conventional webinar, this is envisioned as a welcoming and engaging conversation space where participants can actively contribute. By joining, you will be able to showcase your organisation’s work within an expanding European platform, gain visibility, and exchange ideas with like-minded practitioners. The session also offers a valuable opportunity to discover innovative approaches to sustainable craft practices, learn from different cultural and organisational contexts, and draw inspiration from real-life stories and experiences shared across borders.

Beyond inspiration, the Coffee Talk aims to serve as a starting point for future cooperation. Participants will be able to explore potential partnerships for joint initiatives, including EU-funded project proposals, study visits, exchanges, or pilot collaborations. By bringing together diverse actors from across Europe, the event seeks to build bridges between creativity and social impact, encouraging long-term collaboration rooted in shared values and mutual learning.
