The project aims to strengthen the quality of digital youth work by helping youth workers respond confidently to AI-shaped realities in young people’s lives, while using digital tools to widen - not limit - meaningful youth participation. In youth work practice, this means youth workers are better able to facilitate sessions where young people can critically engage with misinformation/deepfakes and online influence, participate safely in digital spaces, and express their voice through creative and participatory methods.
Through this project, our overall aim is to strengthen the quality of digital youth work by equipping youth workers to support young people’s participation in AI-shaped online environments in a safe, ethical and inclusive way.
Therefore, we'll address the following objectives:
O1. Build youth workers’ practical competences in digital youth work and AI literacy (deepfakes/misinformation, online influence, responsible use of tools) so they can address these topics with young people confidently.
O2. Improve youth workers’ facilitation skills to run participatory, non-formal sessions that strengthen youth voice online and offline (co-creation, dialogue, critical thinking, meaningful participation).
O3. Strengthen organisational practice by introducing simple, usable routines for privacy and consent, safeguarding in digital/hybrid settings, and inclusion-by-design (including low-tech alternatives).
O4. Produce and test ready-to-run youth work session formats and practical checklists that can be replicated by colleagues and adapted across partner contexts.
O5. Ensure transfer to daily work through one follow-up pilot activity implemented by each partner organisation, supported by peer exchange and light coordination after the mobility (internal sharing with colleagues encouraged).

There are no participation fees.
Accommodation and food are covered by the hosting organisation from the evening of 8 October to the morning of 15 October 2026.
Travel costs are reimbursed up to 309€ for all participants, except those based in the Netherlands.
