6- day Erasmus+ KA153-YOU training course in Ankara for youth workers to explore how digitalization transforms language and to develop tools promoting conscious language use, digital literacy, and cultural heritage awareness in youth work.

The 6-day Erasmus+ KA153-YOU training course will bring together 42 youth workers from Türkiye, Belgium, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Jordan, and Hungary to explore how digitalization affects language and how youth work can strengthen native language awareness and cultural identity.

Activity dates: 16-21 December 2025

Travel days: 15 & 22 December (Arrival and Departure) 2025

About the Project:
The project aims to equip youth workers with the knowledge and tools to address the effects of online communication on language, promote conscious language use among young people, and integrate cultural heritage awareness into non-formal education practices.

Main Objectives:

  • Strengthen youth workers’ digital literacy and media awareness skills.
  • Develop strategies for conscious language use in online environments.
  • Promote cultural heritage and multilingualism as key aspects of youth identity.
  • Support critical thinking and creativity in non-formal learning.
  • Encourage green and inclusive practices in Erasmus+ mobility activities.

What Will We Do?

  • During the mobility in Ankara, participants will take part in:
  • Workshops on digital language, social media communication, and misinformation.
  • Interactive sessions on critical media literacy and cultural identity.
  • Creative content labs (videos, podcasts, visuals) promoting responsible language use.
  • Fieldwork and street interviews on the impact of internet slang and language change.
  • Co-creation of a “Multilingual Internet and Cultural Language Preservation Guide” for youth workers.

Who Are We Looking For? Youth workers, trainers, and educators who:

  • Work actively with young people in non-formal learning environments.
  • Are motivated to integrate language awareness and digital literacy into their work.
  • Can communicate in English and share project results in their communities.

Expected Impact:
The project will build a network of youth workers capable of guiding young people toward more responsible online communication and deeper appreciation of their linguistic and cultural roots. Participants will return home with new methodologies, tools, and motivation to promote mindful language use and cultural diversity in youth work.
