Training Course
20-27 May 2022 | Evian les Bains, France
We acknowledge that violent strategies to approach conflict posed a common threat to humanity. Relations of competition and mistrust between political actors are deeply rooted in our culture at all levels and guided by that, our leaders often make decisions dramatically harmful to Human Rights, Rule of Law and Democracy. Harmful to Human life.
We consider it crucial the role of civil society and organized individuals in shaping the motivations of the decision-makers and society in general and we take the responsibility of our generation to advocate for a more peaceful world, respectful of Human Rights and democratic processes.
AIM: to empower 30 youth leaders to take an active role in fostering peace processes in Europe by equipping them with skills and competencies in advocacy and conflict transformation.
The objectives are:
To explore advocacy as a tool for creating a culture of peace in European societies;
To equip young people with knowledge of non-violent methods to transform conflicts and strengthen the culture of peace on both a local and European level;
to equip young people with skills for designing and leading off-line and online advocacy campaigns to address Human Rights and Peace violations;
To create a safe space to explore the role of youth in peacebuilding and possibilities for advocacy from the grassroots level by mapping local realities, sharing experiences and initiatives;
To explore the role of the EU in safeguarding peace, youth involvement and peace education;
to design and implement at least 5 youth-led online advocacy initiatives with a special focus in the digital sphere by the participants of the project;
Create a network of cooperation, coordinated in an online platform sustainable in the long term, with space to exchange good practices, tools and materials.

YPAN France (Youth NGO)
The Youth Peace Ambassadors Network (YPAN) is an informal network of 92 young peacebuilders from across Europe who work with and in conflict-affected communities.
The majority of the members of the network are trained on human rights, non-formal education, and conflict transformation by the Council of Europe in the long term project (2011–2014).
Our Mission: The YPA Network wants to develop a culture of peace by empowering young people, promoting human rights, dignity, equality and respect of diversity through education, advocacy and other non-violent actions through projects at the local and international levels.
As YPA Network we promote local and international peace-building activities by young people around Europe.
