AccessAbility - EU Youth programmes as enablers of mobility projects for youth with disabilities

Partnership-building Activity

3-7 May 2022 | Budapest, Hungary

This partnership-building activity will be an opportunity to find partners and partner organisations for future international cooperation to take forward inclusive projects within European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+.

On the one side, there are organisations opening up to participants with disabilities and working to take further concrete steps. On the other side there are organisations that are self-representing, work for and with young persons with disabilities or work with diverse groups of youth and are interested in creating inclusive projects with partners across borders.

“AccessAbility” will offer an open space for getting to know other professionals’ work and experiences, challenges and successes/failures. It will give the chance to find partners for future international cooperation.

Additionally, participants will get information about inclusion opportunities in the EU programmes Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps. Both programmes offer tools for empowering and supporting the participation of young people with disabilities or health challenges, e.g. financial means within Key Actions, toolboxes, etc. National Agency Officers will be present to answer questions and give advice. Further sources of information will be identified and gathered during the event.

This partnership-building activity will be an opportunity to find partners and partner organisations for future international cooperation, especially within Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps.

Aims and objectives

  • To explore Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps as tools for designing inclusive projects especially with young people with disabilities or health challenges.
  • To work on self-assessment and share concrete information, experiences as well as (still) open questions with other professionals.
  • To create an open space for meeting partner organisations for future international cooperation.

Target group

The partnership-building activity is open for voluntary and professional youth workers representing organisations/structures/groups that are

  • either working directly with young people with disabilities,
  • or open to cooperating with organisations working with young people with disabilities in order to involve them in an international youth mobility project within the frame of Erasmus+ youth or the European Solidarity Corps programme.
