ABC to Digital: First steps into Digital Youth Work

Training Course

7-13 April 2024 | Toledo, Spain

Training course for active youth workers with little or no experience in digital youth work. Opportunity to understand the concept of digital youth work, discover some practical digital tools and activity ideas, as well as build new partnerships.

This training course is a 6-day professional development activity in the frame of the Erasmus+ Youth programme. The main purpose is to empower and equip youth workers and organisations with basic competencies, tools and activity ideas to start introducing a digital dimension in their work with young people. The training course is meant for active youth workers and organisations with very little or no experience in using digital tools in youth activities.

Dates & Place: 7-13 April 2024 (incl. 1 travel day), Toledo (Spain), Venue: Albergue Juvenil “Castillo de San Servando”

The main objective is to promote digital transformation in the field of youth work.

Specific objectives:

O1: Empower youth workers with new digital tools and ideas for their activities with youth

O2: Improve the capacity of youth entities in Europe to take advantage of digital tools for organisational and project management, as well as communication

O3: Build new partnerships and create common activity ideas based on the use of digital tools and methods

What will we do during the training course?

  • brief presentations of each of the participating organisations
  • main activities will include training sessions, practical workshops and simulations to discover and learn how to use digital tools or include a digital dimension in activities with young people
  • practical exercises to create youth activities and other relevant materials using the digital tools covered during the training course (to be used in your work after you return home, also as dissemination for the project)
  • sessions on the use of digital tools for the general work of your organisation (project management, communication, etc).
  • possibility to network, build new partnerships and future project ideas with other European partners.

  • who are actively involved in the work of their organisation with young people at local and/or European level
  • with little or no experience in the use of digital tools in their work with youth (if you already have experience and often use digital tools and applications in youth activities, this training course may be a bit basic for you)
