Training Course

31 March - 6 April 2022 | Targu-Jiu, Romania

The project is a continuity of the exchange of young people - A society without racism. It is an initiative of the group leaders from the previous project, who are also youth workers.


The mobility of the youth workers that will take place 6 days (+1 days of transport) in which 3 youth workers from the partner organizations will participate: Turkey; Greece; Slovenia; Bulgaria; Cyprus; Estonia, Spain and Czech Republic.
The aim of the project is to increase the degree of acceptance and integration into the community of migrants / refugees by building multicultural communities through the sustainable methods that will be developed by the youth workers during the 7 months of project implementation.

The main objectives are:
- promoting the benefits of a multicultural society and the fundamental / universal rights, among the 29 youth workers in the partner communities during the 7 months of the project;
-improving the degree of acceptance and integration into the society of migrants / refugees through the activities undertaken by the youth workers in each local community during June-December 2021 as a result of the steps studied during the training of the course;
- encouraging the development of solid partnerships during the 6 days during the training course, among the 29 youth workers in order to implement high quality Erasmus + projects.

At the time of planning, the writing of the application for the project was discussed with the partners about the importance of the impact on all the actors involved in this training. Each entity has assumed responsibility for involvement in the activities of the course so that at the end of it to reach the desired result.
Due to the training of this group of youth workers the expected impact is that the level of tolerance towards migrants will increase, the discriminatory situations will diminish and each citizen will have the possibility to integrate easily in another country if the personal situation imposes it.
We fully believe that once the participants will be involved in this training they will gain more confidence in their strengths, in their own activities and the problem of radicalizing the people coming from other communities will be slowly diminished by involving the youth workers who will use them in the actions. their new methods learned.


Also as an impact on the participants we expect to:
- promotion by the participants and the other members of the community of the motivation of involvement in the development of the community through the adoption of multicultural values; 100%
-modifying attitudes and acquiring new positive perceptions towards solving discriminatory situations; 100%
- acquiring tolerant behavior and promoting it in the community in the activities to be organized;
- improvement of specific and professional skills at the level of approaching the problem of migration and discrimination
- for 29 youth workers.
- increasing the level of understanding of problematic ideas related to the purpose of the project: migration, refugees, racism, discrimination, human rights; 100%
- improvement of methods, techniques and practices for working with young people - for 29 youth workers who will be reached 100%.
- awareness of levels of interaction in innovative approaches to the problem. - 100%.
Impact on partner organizations:
- will increase the level of expertise with at least 20% in the field of implementation of activities related to migrants and discriminatory situations;
- the organization will become an important pillar for the discriminated persons in the community;
- will increase the degree of training of the youth workers and as a result the quality of the actions taken in order to diminish the discriminatory situations and create an environment favorable to the development of a multicultural
community;
- formation of an initiative group in each community by the participants, which will contribute to increasing the degree of
trust in the organizations from which the youth workers come;
- the organizational capacity will increase what is directly related to their development plans;
- increasing the level of openness to collaborate with other organizations in the European environment;
- increasing the degree of trust from the local community - dimension reached from the proposed development plan.
- recording an evolution of the organizational capacity with 50%;

Scout Society is the hosting organisation. We are a NGO from Romania that works with youth and active adults for developing youngsters across Europe through non-formal education methods.
The purpose of the organisation is to encourage volunteering and to contribute at the development of the local community, especially in the process of youth education via non-formal education activities.

This TC is a continuation of an YE and in the near future will be further developed in a big collaborative project with the main purpose to develop a new framework for coaching addressed especially to youth.
