A Motivated Youth Worker

Training Course

12-20 November 2022 | Busteni, Romania

The aim of the project is to offer tools on how to increase the motivation of the young people that we work with. We will focus on non-formal methods that can boost motivation, decrease stress and improve conflict-management.

This training course is dedicated to youth workers and teachers that want to implement non-formal education methods that can boost the motivation of the people they work with.We will also talk about ways in which we can increase our own motivation.

Our project objectives are:

1. Devolop participants knowledge regarding motivation, mental health, stress, team management.

2. Help participants increase their motivation and the motivation of the youth they work with.

3. Develop participants skills in implementing and debriefing non-formal methods that will boost motivation.

This project is mainly addressed to:

  • Youth workers that are currently working with young people;
  • Youth workers that are new in the youth field but are actively volunteering in an organization;
  • Trainers that want to improve their competences in motivating others;
  • Teachers that want to start a training carrier and that are already involved in extracurricular activities;
  • Teachers
  • Volunteers in non-profit organizations.
  • Age limit: over 18

The project will be facilitated by Rizescu Oana and Lukash Hoppe. They are both trainers for more than 10 years and they implemented over 50 E+ projects.

Participants in this training course will learn how to:

  • understanding what is motivation
  • become familiarized with motivational theories such as Maslow and Herzberg
  • how motivation works and its benefits
  • what triggers motivation
  • what could be considered motivation opportunities
  • latest research on motivation
  • understanding the needs of the youth they work with
  • understanding their own strengths
  • better knowledge of Busteni community and their own community
  • knowing the value of their work
  • intrinsic and extrinsic motivation
  • non-formal methods
  • conflict management
  • stress management

Participation fee

This project is financed by Erasmus+ Programme in the field of youth. There is no participation fee.

Accommodation and food

Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, food, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered.

Travel reimbursement

You are expected to arrive in Romania on 12 November and leave on 20 November. You can take extra days if you want to visit Romania. You can not have a shorter stay.

The travel costs will be reimbursed up to this limits: 

Romania:  40 euros/participant

Italy:  275 euros/participant

Poland:  275 euros/participant

Lithuania: 275 euros/participant

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
