2-11 November 2021 | Romania

The seminar will contribute to a constructive dialogue on the issue of remembrance related to the east-west conflict and its current consequences, offering a range of learning and sharing opportunities, to be followed by a conference in Bucharest.

Building on the findings of a survey conducted in all the partner countries in 2020 and 2021 regarding young peoples’ knowledge on the implications of the WW2 and post-war authoritarian regimes on today’s European democracy, the 5030Remember Seminar will take place between 2nd - 11th of November 2021, consisting of:

  • individual asynchronous tasks (which will not take more than 1h to complete, posted on the 2nd and 5th of November)
  • November 9th and 11th - video sessions from 14:00 - 17:00 CET

The seminar is being organized under the framework of the Europe for Citizens project “5030Remember: from WW2 to the end of communism”, which aims not only to pay tribute through remembrance activities to those who have sacrificed themselves for the achievement of a lasting peace on the European continent, but also to educate young people who have never lived under an authoritarian regime on the consequences of populism and euroscepticism. 

The participation in the seminar is free of charge and will be rewarded with a digital participation certificate.  There is no age restriction.
