EUROMED ESSENTIALS: Challenge of EuroMed cooperation and geopolitical issues

"EuroMed Essentials" is a training proposal that aims to increase the level of knowledge and competency in working in Mediterranean area for active trainers at international level in youth field.

Three modules on three different topics are planned from 2010 to 2011:

1. Geopolitics;
2. Religion;
3. History.

The first training course "Challenge of EuroMed cooperation and geopolitical issues" took place in June 2010, in Greece and the two others will be held in 2011 respectively in Turkey and Malta.

20 participants from 6 mediterranean partner countries and 7 EU programme countries (Egypt, France, Greece, Isarel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Poland, Portugal, Tunisia and Turkey) met, shared, learned and discussed around this large topic.

Participants, Trainers and National Agencies for the Youth in Action programme were interviewed during the training and they bring you some answers to the following questions:

Why geopolitics? Why is the topic of geopolitics in the frame of youth is important for you?
