National Agencies

The E+ NA staff is supported to acquire the skills necessary to sustain quality youth work through capacity building and offer TCAs.

The Knowledge Management and Staff Training (KMST) of the National Agencies network is the main instrument to support staff at Erasmus+ National Agencies (NAs) in the implementation of the programme. Through competence building, the staff becomes familiar with understanding and developing quality youth work, taking a coherent European approach.

To implement E+ at the national level, the NAs moreover have an instrument called Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA). TCAs are set up annually by the NAs in negotiation with their national ministries and the European Commission. Concrete results (training courses, seminars, events) are visible at SALTO's European Training Calendar; you can filter the database to find the TCA activity offers from NAs, often in cooperation with one or more SALTO Resource Centres.

  • E+:YiA NA’s Knowledge Management and Staff Training (KMST)

    The aim of the KMST strategy is to develop the competence and support the capacity-building of Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps National Agencies in the youth field, and through this, use strategically the E+:Youth and European Solidarity Corps Programmes in reaching the European and national youth policy objectives.

    Below you can find a list of Frequently Asked Questions of NA staff about use of TCA and NET. The FAQ was developed by the TCA NET WG and will be further developed over time. Please be aware that most of the FAQs below are answered either in the Guide for National Agencies or in the TCA NET ALMANAC developed by the TCA/NET WG.

    • Please note: The former TCA WG transformed into the TCA/NET WG. This approach was already discussed by Head of NAs as a practical solution – most of the NET related practise will be taken from TCA. The TCA Almanac is currently under revision and will be ready in June for the TCA/NET officers meeting. If you have further questions please contact the TCA/NET WG tca@salto-youth.net.

    The TCA/NET Working Group cares for quality and management development of the Transnational Cooperation Activities (TCA) in Erasmus+ Youth in Action and Networking Activities under the European Solidarity Corps (NET).
