1. Europe Goes Local - Call for municipalities

The SALTO South East Europe Resource Centre is seeking municipalities in the Western Balkan countries* to join the existing network of municipalities from the region participating in the Europe Goes Local platform.

Since 2021, SALTO SEE has been actively involved in the Europe Goes Local platform by providing expert consultation and guidance to selected municipalities in the Western Balkan region on the development of local youth work and youth (work) policy. In addition, SALTO SEE organises and facilitates the participation of these municipalities in international support and learning activities.

Building on the progress and outcomes achieved between 2021 and 2025, the current call aims to expand the network of participating municipalities in the Western Balkan countries and to strengthen support for the overall development of local (municipal) youth work and youth work policy at different levels.

The call for municipalities with more information about the framework (with a link to the online application form) is available here.

Application deadline: 8 March 2026.
