I'm Mila, a recently certified trainer in the field of youth by the Council of Europe, with 5+ years in designing and implementing education and training activities for youth with diverse bodies, minds and opportunities. I focus on rights-based and value-based learning with aim to discover, challenge and develop attitudes of young people as grounds for social change.

Work experience
More than 10 years of working with young people and youth organisations/networks on the local and international level through projects, education and training on active participation, policy making, human rights (education), democracy/education for democratic citizenship, peacebuilding and conflict transformation, inclusion and diversity, and women empowerment. Out of those, I have been working on developing and implementing educational, training and facilitation activities for youth varying in addressed needs, scope, length and learning objectives, as a facilitator, trainer and educator. I have also worked with local and national authorities, namely in policy making (facilitating strategy and action plan development) and capacity-building (for policy making). I also did trainings on organisational management/development, project writing, project and financial management and evaluation techniques.
I also bring extensive exposure to and working with the Council of Europe in different capacities since 2017 (certified youth trainer, individual expert, trainer for ToT on Human Rights Education, member of the Advisory Council on Youth, educational advisor, youth delegate to World Forum for Democracy).
Topics and opportunities I would like to explore are intercultural learning, peacebuilding, disability rights, gender equality, mental health and wellbeing. I am always eager to learn more about NFE approaches and methods that I can use in my youth work.

Educational pathway
I am a certified trainer in the field of youth by the Council of Europe Youth Department (Training of Trainers for Youth in the Council of Europe - TRAYCE, 2023-2024). I am a member of the Pool of trainers of the National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) and the Pool of Trainers of Young European Federalists (JEF). I am also a member of the Pool of evaluators for grant proposals of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) in the Western Balkans.
My academic background is MSc in Tourism Management (Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree).
