This Quality Checklist is a self-assesment guide for Residential Educational centres (REC) across Europe as well a guide for organisations abour to set up/build such centre.

Aims of the tool

To provide for those willing to check the quality of the venue or those willing to create a venue for non-formal education activities.

Description of the tool

This checklist provides some key insights on what to take into account when hosting a residential educational activity. It covers areas like:
- hosting;
- sustainability;
- outreach to the local community;
- educational programmes;
- working with diverse groups;
- staff and financial management of the venues.
This checklist has been produced as an outcome the KA2 good practice exchange project between 7 educational centres operating in Europe throughout the project "Youth INN".
