This guide includes some methods that can be used in nature. The guide is an outcome of Back to Nature training course which have been held in Bolu Turkey with partnerships of 10 countries.

Aims of the tool

Main goal of the guide is knowing how to use nature as a effective learning atmosphere and know how to safe in nature.

Description of the tool

During all our lives the learning process continues in formal (like school, university), non- formal (courses, sports club) and informal (from parents and friends) environments. But what do these terms; formal, non-formal and informal education actually mean?

In first Part the team summarized the principles and
goals of non-formal education.
In the second part, you can find outcomes of and exercise we held during the ‘Back to Nature Project’ which can be an example for how nature is a productive learning ground for non-
formal education principles.
In the third part, you can find different activities that can be done in nature and which we enjoyed during the project.

This guide could be useful for whom working with youngsters or a disadvantaged group.
