This session was done in order to inform participants about the basic pillars of SD and to highlight on the basic information regarding the topic in order to proceed with the research.

Description of the tool

1- We started the session with a small energizer related to nature and environment. (10 min)
2- Definition of sustainable development. It was an interactive approach to get the definition of sustainable development from the participants ( 15 min)
3- Exploring SD pillars: the participants were divided into 4 groups each focusing on a pillar (environmental – economical – social – cultural) and they had to answer 4 questions related to each pillar: definition – subpillars – problems facing the specific pillar – suggested solutions. Then each group presented the information and little discussion was made. (45 min)
