DO ENTERprise- Training Course on Enterprise spirit, creativity and innovation

Training Course

28 April - 5 May 2013 | Subotica, Serbia

A a 6 day training course with the main aim of training young people with fewer opportunities in order to capture opportunities and creatively use the resources from their surroundings in making innovative enterprising initiatives.
Today young people with fewer opportunities not only that have a hard time finding their proper place in society, but they also face ever growing youth unemployment on European level. As the European Youth Strategy "Investing and Empowering" also foresees, a way to tackle youth unemployment would be to develop youth employability through youth work. Among the aims would be to develop competences of young people with fewer opportunities through stimulating young people’s spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship The 6 day training course has the topics of creativity, enterprising spirit and innovation and the main aim of training young people with fewer opportunities in order to capture opportunities and creatively use the resources from their surroundings in making innovative enterprising initiatives. The training includes 25 participants from overall 9 countries (Sweden, Italy, Montenegro, Hungary, Macedonia, Turkey, Albania, Croatia and Serbia) The training hopes to support the participants ability to develop enterprising spirit, a systemic generic competence and the capacity to seize resources on one’s own initiative with the aim to take advantage of opportunities by calculating risk that it entails. The training is based on an educative programme which combines three important elements in developing youth entrepreneurship – creativity, enterprising spirit and innovation. Project "Do ENTERprise"! will work on the annual priority of stimulating young people’s spirit of initiative, creativity and entrepreneurship, employability, in particular through youth initiatives The project is particularly designed to focus on how young leaders perceive the possibilities in their surroundings and on the development of their abilities to take advantage of what they have and build innovative, enterprising ideas jointly with their youth groups and in their youth organizations. As young people can witness growing trend of unemployment in most of the Europe along with nation-states who are struggling to provide a decent job offers to youth, it is rather a necessity to enable young leaders and develop their skills for self-motivated enterprising action The project aims in developing and enhancing a set of three thematically interconnected systemic generic competencies, namely creativity, enterprising spirit and innovation, and all this through a framework of lifelong learning. Within this goal, carefully selected and ambitious youth leaders from partner countries will become more skilled and competent to engage in initiative taking and entrepreneurship. This will contribute generally to the quality for the youth organization and youth sector, as well as to meaningful youth work for countries combating huge youth unemployment. Themes are: creativity, enterprising spirit and innovation for youth action through competence development.
