Traditional sports and games are part of intangible heritage and a symbol of the cultural diversity of our societies. They are also an efficient means to convey values of solidarity, diversity, inclusiveness and cultural awareness.
Moreover, traditional games and sports reflect on different cultural expressions, and create a bridge between cultures for a better mutual comprehension.

Activity Type: Long Term Training Course

A Long Term Training Course, thematic, but also strongly oriented towards action and strategy of cooperation, through the Action 4.3, sub-action "Networking projects".

It is organised by the French National Agency (AFPEJA) for the Youth in Action programme in cooperation with Salto-Youth EuroMed.

 

Aims and objectives

This long term training course will help participants to reflect on the use of such a mean in international youth activities. Moreover, actives methods will be used to let participants experience and create activities.

3 main phases:

  • 1st step July 2009: Training-Course "Common roots for a common ground"
  • 2nd step: Practical experience of networking projects "Networks for dialogue". The team will coach the participants and their projects implemented all along the duration of the project.
  • 3rd step July 2010: Training-Course and ongoing evaluation of networking projects "Common ground for a common future"

 

Target group

  • representatives of NGO's from EU and all partner countries, experienced in Youth (in Action) Programme and/or Euromed Youth Programme (possibly in several actions),
  • experienced in the Youth field and familiar with International youth projects
  • able to work in English
  • willing to create a long-term strategy of cooperation, within the networking projects, with specific interest in the topic of the TC

Recruitment procedures for the first phase (France, Basque country)

Group size: 30 participants (balanced representation of Program and Regional Partner countries SEE, EECA, EuroMed)

  1. Apply on line to the first phase

    You have to fill in the application on-line. Only the application forms submitted and correctly filled-in will be taken into account.
  2. Selection

    Programme countries: pre-selection through sending National Agencies for the YiA programme
    Mediterranean Partner countries: Salto-Youth EuroMed with support of EuroMed Youth Units
    Other Neighbouring Partner countries: Salto-Youth EuroMed with support of Salto-Youth EECA and SEE Resource Centres.
  3. Information from coordinator

    The coordinator of the training course will contact you when the selection will be done. You will be invited to connect to the e-learning community platform to be informed on practicalities and programme. You will have to manage your travel and your visa on your own.
