Activity Type: LTTC Project oriented on traditional sports as a tool for intercultural dialogue among South Eastern Europe/ East and Caucasus/Mediterranean countries and program countries.

This is the 3rd phase: Evaluation after the inputs of the first phase and the coaching phase. You can have a look to what was done during the first phase.

Presentation of the activity

Traditional sports and games are part of both intangible heritage and daily life, and they are a symbol of the cultural diversity, richness of our societies. Sharing, experiencing, reflecting in traditional sports coming from all countries represented, included the local one, as a tool for empowering intercultural dialogue, and used in several projects in among the different phases of the training. They are also efficient means to convey values of solidarity, diversity, inclusiveness and cultural awareness. Moreover, traditional games and sports reflect on different cultural expressions, and create a bridge between regional cultures for a better mutual comprehension and dialogue. A Long Term Training Course on sport issues, strongly oriented towards action and strategy of interregional cooperation.

Aims and objectives

To consolidate through the sharing an evaluation of projects - and through the planning of the follow up - the learning and strategic achivements of the course.

Objectives

  • Evaluate and share experiences of planned/implemented projects from the first phase (1st seminar)
  • Provide information about Euromed IV program
  • Common creation of tools to be used and adaped for activities promoting Intercultural Dialogue
  • Provide a frame for designing future interregional projects (SEE, EAC,MEDA, Program countries)

Target group

  • Projects' members (projects already written/submitted/ implemented/ or ready to be submited)
  • Participants able to use sports as a tool for promoting intercultural dialogue
  • Participants able to work in interregional projects

Competencies

  • Improve the acquired skills to plan, implement and evaluate a project
  • Build on creativity and innovation
  • Develop communication skills needed for buidling partnership in multicultural teams

Working language

English language with possibility of support in French

Group size: participants who took part in projects after the first training course (write/ submit/ implement)

    : pre-selection through sending National Agencies for the YiA programme
    Mediterranean Partner countries: Salto-Youth EuroMed with support of EuroMed Youth Units
    Other partner countries: Salto-Youth EuroMed with support of SALTO EECA and SEE.
  • Travel, boarding and loading of participants will be covered.
  • The selected participants will be contacted by the organisers about their travel's cost
