Training Course "EastWestEVS Included" 2012

Training organised together by Polish National Agency of Youth in Action Programme and SALTO Eastern Europe & Caucasus Resource Centre.

The “EastWestEVS Included” builds on previous experiences of annual “EastWestEVS” training courses as well as contact making seminar “East&West Included” from 2011.

Aim

TC "EastWestEVS Included" aims to stimulate development of inclusive EVS projects and encourage cooperation between programme countries and Eastern Europe and Caucasus region.

Date and Venue

TC "EastWestEVS Included" will take place between 7-13 May 2012 (Monday 7th is arrival day and Sunday 13th is departure day), in Uzhhorod (Uzhgorod, Ungvar) in a very west of Ukraine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzhhorod). The activity will be hosted in "Ungvarskiy hotel" (www.ungvarskiy-hotel.com.ua/en/index.html).

Main Objectives:

  • To gain knowledge on how to deal with inclusion in EVS projects;
  • To discover all different possibilities in the framework of the European Voluntary Service;
  • To encourage development of inclusion projects;
  • To discuses and analyses challenges of the EVS activity in the filed of inclusion;
  • To develop EVS project management skills;
  • To establish partnership between organisations from programme and EECA countries;

Participants

TC "EastWestEVS Included" will bring together 24 voluntary and professional youth workers, youth leaders and project coordinators working directly with youth organisations and youngsters, who are interested in setting up new EVS projects, especially with focus on Inclusion:

  • 12 participants from Programme Countries
  • 12 participants from EECA countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine)

Participants profile:

  • Representatives of the EVS accredited organisations (hosting, sending and coordinating);
  • Some experience of cooperation between organisations from EECA and Programme countries;
  • Having at least one hosting or sending EVS experience;
  • To be motivated to develop future EVS projects in the field of inclusion and in cooperation between programme and neighbouring countries
  • Having a working knowledge of English, the working language of the TC
  • Available to actively attend the full duration of the course

Team of the TC "EastWestEVS Included"

Trainers team is composed by 2 trainers, experienced in EVS - action 2 of Youth in Action Programme and cooperation with EECA region:

  • Lilit Simonyan, Armenia
  • Saro Rossi, Italy

Additionally, one officer from Austrian NA, one from SALTO Inclusion and one from SALTO EECA will join the team.

Organisers

This Training Course is co-organised by Austrian National Agency of the Youth in Action Programme and SALTOs Inclusion and Eastern Europe & Caucasus Resource Centres with support of other National Agencies of YiA.

Financial Conditions

  • The board and lodging during the training course for all participants will be provided by organisers,
  • Flight travel costs of participants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus will be covered fully by organisers (EECA participants need to cover their insurance and local connection to airport),
  • Travel costs of participants from Programme Countries will be covered by relevant National Agency on its own principles.
