Description of the tool

Bridges for Recognition was a crucial European Event to promote the recognition of youth work across Europe. It was the place where several recognition initatives were presented or launched (e.g. the European YouthPass, Youth Worker Portfolio, National recognition initiatives,...)

The conference brought togehter experts, youth workers, trainers, Youth in Action National Agencies, European Institutions, employers, educational institutions,... to

* to stimulate the recognition of skills and learning by young people through participation in youth work activities, and...
* to enhance the social recognition of youth work in society (by schools, employers), by...
* to raise the visibility of youth work and its recognition within and outside the youth sector
