"Youth Unemployment" European Problem or a Problem of the National State

The seminar aims at prevention against youth unemployment and supporting the participants to exchange ideas regarding the national policies for youth unemployment overcoming.
CONTEXT Among the many issues touched during the discussions will be: how governments around Europe cope with the unemployment among the youth; what kind of tools do youth organizations in Europe have to cope with this problem; which countries in Europe have the lowest and highest unemployment rates and why; ways to boost the young people employability (with certified career consultants); trends in the European Union youth labour market; education level in various member states – a remedy or a cause for the problem. We want to organize this meeting for those youth groups and organizations which were in the past or are at present involved in YOUTH or YOUTH IN ACTION Programme and are ready to continue such activities as youth exchanges, EVS projects, seminars, training courses etc. In Stara Zagora region, full of beautiful landscapes you will have the chance to meet people involved in initiatives in the frame of YOUTH or YOUTH IN ACTION Programme, exchange your experiences and gain new knowledge about youth unemployment and its effects on society, about the methods used by the national governments to prevent the labour market from such negative trends as youth unemployment and to create together with the other participants guidelines for young people in order to solve this problem together. AIMS - to improve quality of activities concerning youth projects in unemployment - to learn how to create, manage and implement initiatives about youth unemployment – which sources and institutions to work with, what kind of activities are most useful for youths; - to exchange of best practices and experiences gained in such kind of projects; - to get to know organizations which took part in YOUTH or YOUTH IN ACTION Program or do not have any previous experience in international co-operation; - to make new international contacts for that purpose to undertake and realize projects in the frame of YOUTH IN ACTION Program. METHODS: - plenary meetings; - working groups; - workshops; - education by fun; - experiences sharing. The training will be based on NON-FORMAL EDUCATION. PARTICIPANTS PROFILE - ONLY from BG, PL, RO, TR - Ability to communicate in English; - People open to challenge!

Costs

The course is free of charges. Board and lodging will be provided and paid. Organizers will refund every participant 70% of travel costs (based on tickets/ invoices, during the course by cash payment).
