European Conference “Framework, Quality, and Impact of Young Europeans’ Learning Mobility”
This European conference of researchers, practitioners, and involved institutions and organizations wants to take stock of current issues and research findings on educational youth mobility.
In recent years a multitude of programmes for the mobility of young people have been implemented by the EU, member states and non-governmental organizations. These programmes especially address non-formal as well as informal learning, often focusing on intercultural competence and European citizenship as learning objectives.
Research findings and an exchange of practical experience have usually been presented and discussed with a specific focus on programme format, target group, or participating countries.
This European conference of researchers, practitioners, and involved institutions and organizations wants to take stock of current debates and research findings on educational youth mobility. It will serve to identify common interests, resources, and interfaces as a basis for collaboration projects, studies, and further exchanges within a European network of experts.
It is our hope and driving proposition that through this a sustainable co-operation and network might be established on the European level which will be able to share best practices, and to exchange insights into quality factors and programme formats that will contribute to desirable impact of learning mobility schemes for young Europeans.
PHILOSOPHY
In addition to contributions presenting research findings or best practice examples, we offer workshops with innovative approaches to presenting and discussing research and practice. These may include roundtables or moderated debates, interactive workshops or sessions featuring audio and visual resources. The selected contributors are encouraged to make use of non-formal learning methods.
