Sport as an instrument for social inclusion

Seminar

2-6 April 2011 | Brussels, Belgium - FR

Sport activities can be much more than physical activities… Sport and outdoor activities can also help young people to develop life skills and facilitate their inclusion in society.
The main aims of the seminar will be - to highlight the activities/projects using sports as a learning method as well as a tool to facilitate the process of inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities - to create bridges between European youth leaders/youth workers involved in those activities. The objectives of the seminar will be: -to share practices, concrete experiences and methodologies using sport activities as an educational tool -to develop a booklet listing good practices and methods which could be helpful for other youth workers -to make the link between the topic and the opportunities offered by the Youth in Action Programme. Methods -non formal learning methods to maximize exchanges among participants -field visits -discussion with resource people
