Training “SOSO for U 2” aim is to build capacities of youth workers and volunteer managers, for designing and managing projects for young volunteers by introducing them with the Social Software and other Web 2.0 tools.
SEEYN and Youth Peace Group Danube are organizing exciting Training course "Social Software for you, too", in Vukovar, Croatia, from 6th to 14th of December 2010. “SOSO for Youth” is a training course for youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers active in the youth volunteering field. Training aim is to build capacities of youth workers and volunteer managers, for designing and managing projects for young volunteers by introducing them with the Social Software and other Web 2.0 tools. After the training course, participants will be encouraged and supported to prepare on line activities for the European Year of Volunteering 2011 as part of SEEYN networking project "SEE Youth for EYV 2011". During the course, participants will get more familiar with options and possibilities of Facebook, Blog, Skype, forums, mailing lists, Google tools, on line video and photo editing, on line video streaming and how can they be used in different steps of volunteer management. Participants will get basic information of data bases for volunteer placements and they will plan on line campaign for EYV 2011. As we have some places let, we can invite participants from our partner organizations from previous training courses and activities. Deadline for application is 21st of November. If you are interested or can recommend someone that could be, please share this invitation. Training course is supported by EC Youth in Action and CoE European Youth Foundation. Profile of the participants  Over 18 years;  Youth workers, youth leaders, youth club workers, youth managers of NGOs from SEE and the EU countries, directly working with local and/or international volunteers;  Are highly motivated and able to actively participate in the whole training course and to contribute to the development of the future projects in regard to volunteer management;  Motivated to integrate social software tools in order to improve volunteer management in the daily work of their organization  Have organizational support for further activities development with volunteers;  Are able to communicate and work in English language;  Have fair computer competences and actively use various online tools and networks.  Able to be involve in follow up activities

Costs

Board and lodging Participants will be accommodated in a house near YPGD training centre in Vukovar. The training sessions will take place in YPGD premises. Participants will be accommodated in rooms with 3 of 4 beds. Organizers will provide 3 meals and 2 coffee/tea breaks per day. Additional nights, meals and other services have to be covered by participants themselves. Travel costs 70% of the travel costs will be reimbursed ONLY for the cheapest way of transport. Travel costs will be reimbursed by bank transfer, after submission of original travel documents. Participants should keep all travel documents (bus/train fares, travel agency invoices, and boarding passes) as organisers are able to make any reimbursement only on the basis of presented ORIGINAL documents! Visa costs 100% of visa costs will be reimbursed by bank transfer.
