Partnership-building Activity

23-28 November 2010 | Bucharest, Romania

A seminar aiming to increase the quality of the applications by creating partnerships and networking among interested organizations and by focusing on the variety of experiences in this field in different European countries.
The seminar is mainly (but not exclusively) addressed to the newcomer and small organizations interested to learn more and get involved in Youth in Action projects. The participants will be representatives of such organizations able to share the knowledge, experiences, good practices and cultural related facts, and finally to came up with the ideas of projects and find new partners for the projects. A special focus will be addressed to organizations (NGOs or public institutions) working with disabled young people or with rural communities. However any organization interested to develop a Youth Exchange project in general and inclusion projects in particular, are more than welcomed. Participants need to have knowledge about the Youth in Action Program, Youth Exchanges and project management. Aims of the seminar • to provide the participants the necessary information for understand the key concepts in order to write good applications and implement effectively Youth in Action projects • to provide a space for sharing knowledge and experiences between organizations and public bodies involved in cultural diversity and social inclusion related activities • to offer a space for exchanging ideas and contacts in order to develop future partnerships among participants Working methods During the seminar there will be used interactive and non-formal methods placing the participants in the center of the learning process and focusing on the understanding of the intercultural differences and specifics of working with young people with fewer opportunities and young people from rural areas. A mix of workshops, facilitated discussions and other active tools will be mainly used in which the participants are invited to "produce" the content of the seminar rather than to "swallow" information. while the work results will be presented in the plenary sessions. The activities will be led by experienced facilitators in Youth Exchanges.

Costs

Romanian NA covers the costs for food, accommodation, working rooms and facilitators. The sending NA's will have to cover the travel costs of their participants.
