Together For Neet 2

Main Aim of the project:
To apply Human Centered Design methodology and principles to design innovative, evidence based, sustainable and scalable solutions to the NEET challenge in WB6 countries and Euro Mediterranean Region

Specific Objectives:
1. Empathize: Map and identify the needs of the most important stakeholders in each participating country and the region as a whole
2. Define: analyze the information gathered to define main intervention areas and create focused problem statements
3. Ideate: Go through the creative process of coming up with innovative solutions for the defined challenges
4. Prototype: To create rough prototypes of the innovative solutions that clearly showcase the intervention logic
5. Test: Present the intervention logic to the stakeholders to gather important feedback and engage them iterate and adapt accordingly
6. Iterate and Implement: Crystallize interventions and design new pilot projects that can be upscaled in regional, cross boarder and interregional level.

Duration of project: 1 July 2017 - 31 November 2018 (17 months)

Activities:

The above objectives will be achieved in three stages and through the following activities:

Stage 1: Empathize ( October 2017 - January 2018) - (4 months)

1. Training Course 1: October 2017 (10 days)
Introduction to the human centered design method: principles and methods.
Methods of empathy
2. Field work stage one: November 2017 - January (3 months)
Using the tools and methods in the field to gather needs of the most important stakeholders in each participating country and the region as a whole + Local workshop 1 gathering stakeholders

Stage 2: Define, Ideate, prototype, Test February 2018 - May 2018 - (4 months)

1.Training Course 2: February 2018 (10 days)
analyze the information gathered to define main intervention areas and create focused problem statements

To create rough prototypes of the innovative solutions that clearly showcase the intervention logic
2. Field work stage 2 : March 2018 - May 2018 (3 months)
Testing: Present the intervention logic to the stakeholders to gather important feedback and engage them iterate and adapt accordingly Local workshop 2 gathering stakeholders

Stage 3: Iterate and Implement June 2018 - September 2018 - (4 months)

1 . Training Course 3: June 2018 (10 days)
Iterations of the prototypes, crystallization of the interventions logic, translation into projects and initiatives, regional funding and proposals
2 . Field work stage 3: July 2018 - September 2018 (3 months)
Finalization of the projects proposals, inclusion of new partners and stakeholders, submission of new proposals

Participants:
Each partner organization should select 3 participants to participate in all the activities of the project for the full duration.

Participants should be 1 representative of the organization responsible for decision making and directly working in project design and management, one representative of the organization youth worker or youth leader working directly with young people. 1 Young person NEET

Partners Profiles:
The project will involve 12 partner of organizations from the following countries: WB6 (Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina) + Eu med (Italy, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal, Croatia).

All countries selected have the highest rated of youth unemployment in Europe and large percentage of NEET youth.

We are looking for organizations that:
1. Are working directly with young people NEET
2. Are willing to commit in this long term project and contribute to all activities
a.By selecting preparing and sending participants to the training courses
b.Delivering the tasks that are planned for the field work stages (interviews and meetings with stakeholders, local workshops and drafting reports)
3. Are willing to lead or participate in future projects on the NEET topic especially under Regional development funding (namely IPA2, INTERREG, National and cross border structural funds etc)
