Next Wave

Training Course

8-14 July 2013 | Česká Skalice, Czech Republic

Next wave is a training course designed for everyone who has at least once joined an international training course or seminar organised within the Youth in action programme and has ever wondered what to do with this experience.
Youth in action is slowly approaching its breaking point and many people ask what will come next. Next Wave is about exploring own capacity to re-cycle international experiences and to re-use them creatively in your personal or work environment. Catching your next wave and making a difference no matter how the new Youth in action programme looks like. Sometimes it is hard to express what exactly makes international activities so valuable. Often you just feel it once you are there. At this training course we want to capture this feeling and make the most out of it in our realities back home. Aim To support the potential of ex–participants of international training courses to creatively re–use their experiences in their personal or work environment. Objectives To explore learning outcomes and added value of an international training activity. To reflect upon the impact of a particular training activity, both personally and professionally. To share good practices and to develop new ideas for sustainable actions in own realities. Methodology The course will be based on the principles and practice of non-formal education taking into account participants needs, motivations and experiences. There will be also some workshops offered as a part of the program, e.g. - fresh methodologies used in youth work / business such as GTD, lean canvas, design thinking, etc. - social entrepreneurship as step away from institutional funding. Actual programme will be adapted to participants' expectations. In the training you will have a chance to visit interesting places and meet inspirational people who managed to transform their experience into real actions and projects.
