The solution to youth unemployement may be lying behind intercultural interaction and collaboration of European youth for self employement. The aim of this seminar is to promote entrepreneurship among young people by addressing youth unemployement.
Ever rising unemployement rates among young people are becoming a more significant issue. It is possible to name youth unemployement as a rising social problem in Europe. The solution to the problem may be lying behind intercultural interaction and collaboration of European youth for self employement. The aim of this seminar is to promote entrepreneurship among young people by addressing youth unemployement.
Developing an intercultural enviroment, increasing interaction between different cultures, promoting “Youth in Action” tools to develop new ideas for youth unemployement and exchanging new ideas as a basis for flourishing entrepreneurship among young people will be the priority purposes of this seminar. This project provides an educational platform using a range of practical examples that can benefit young people and youth workers. Our seminar has three basic steps:
Goals of the project is to:
1) Increase the competences of youth workers and young people for entrepreneurship,
2) Increase quality of youth projects, including local projects and European initiatives both within Youth in Action and outside it,
3) Create new partnerships and cooperation among participating organisations/youth groups.
Participant profile: The main target group for this project are youth leaders, volunteers, youth workers and young people. Participants must be EU member countries. Applicants with a general interest in the subject are welcome to apply.
The programme is built of four blocks:
1) Defining the term Entrepreneurship,
2) Entrepreneurship in action: Development of ideas, turning ideas into business, funding and marketing,
3) The Youth in Action programme as a tool for youth unemployement,
4) Developing strategies for integrating and networking youth organizations for promoting entrepreneurship among young workers and young people.
The working methods will be based on non-formal learning methods and will include discussion groups, outdoor activities, multimedia presentations and individual and group learning assignments for participants.
