Westbound volunteers
Partnership-building Activity
15-18 April 2013 | London, United Kingdom
Contact making seminar for EVS. Hosting organisations mainly from Western Europe can meet Norwegian sending organisations to plan future projects together.
Do you represent an accredited EVS hosting or co-ordinating organisation in the EU? Would you like to have a Norwegian volunteer to help out in your project?
Are you interested in building partnerships with serious Norwegian sending organisations, who can help you recruit suitable volunteers for your project?
Or do you represent an accredited Norwegian EVS sending organisation?
Do you want to help Norwegian young people to find suitable hosting organisations in the EU?
Applicants from Norway, UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg will be prioritised, but the seminar is open for residents of other EU countries.
Aim of the seminar:
• Support hosting organisations in western Europe find suitable Norwegian volunteers for their projects
• Support Norwegian sending organisations and hosting organisations in western Europe in building partnership and develop mutual trust and understanding
• Support Norwegian EVS volunteers finding host projects in western Europe
• Facilitate the building of good partnerships between senders and hosts in EVS projects
• Start concrete project planning in matched teams of sending and hosting organisations
Target groups:
• Norwegian accredited sending organisations who are willing and able to recruit and send volunteers to the hosting projects presented in the seminar. I.e. they should preferably have contact with – or be willing to openly recruit - volunteers with different backgrounds, needs, skills and competences, in order to match the needs of the hosting organisations
• Accredited EVS hosting and co-ordinating organisations from the EU who are willing and able to host Norwegian volunteers in their projects. If they are willing to host volunteers with fewer possibilities, this will be considered positive (but not necessary)
Participants:

10 EU hosting organisations
Venue: London, UK
Dates: 15th -18th – April 2013. Arrival before lunch 15th April. Departure after lunch 18th April.
