Aim
This seminar aims to highlight the importance of evaluation and monitoring of individual or collective international mobility projects. Evaluation will be presented as a tool to maximize the benefits of a project, value and ensure an appropriate supportive approach towards young people after their mobility experience.
Objectives
a. To allow participants to answer the question: what to evaluate, when and how?
b. To work on performance and success indicators
c. To compare evaluation and monitoring methods used by participants
d. To discover the assessment and monitoring practices implemented by French speaking Belgian structures
e. To gather and share good practices in evaluation and monitoring
f. To formulate proposals to improve international mobility projects monitoring
Methodology:
The tools and methods used are based on the principles of the non formal education: exercises, games and group dynamics, in plenary or in subgroups.
Language:
English and French.
For some workshops, participants will be divided in two working groups: English speakers and French speakers. In order to maintain a dynamic of cooperation and reflection among the participants, collective activities will be organized.
Profile of the participants:
1. You are at least 18 years old
2. You are from a Programme country or from an Eastern Partnership Window country
3. You are a youth leader or a youth worker or a person responsible for young people
4. You have developed or monitored international individual or collective youth mobility projects
5. You are willing to acquire a practical knowledge in the field of mobility projects evaluation
Version Française :
Le séminaire vise à mettre l’accent sur l’importance de l’évaluation et du suivi des projets de mobilité internationale individuels ou collectifs. L’évaluation sera abordée comme un outil susceptible de maximiser les retombées du projet, de le valoriser au mieux et d’assurer une démarche appropriée d’accompagnement des jeunes après leur expérience de mobilité.
Objectifs spécifiques
- permettre aux participer de répondre à la question : Evaluer quoi, comment et quand ?
- travailler sur des indicateurs de réussite
- comparer les méthodes d’évaluation et de suivi utilisées par les participants
- découvrir des pratiques d’évaluation et de suivi mises en place par des structures belges francophones
- mutualiser les bonnes pratiques d’évaluation et de suivi des participants
- formuler des propositions visant à améliorer le suivi des projets de mobilité internationale
Méthodologie:
Outils et méthodes basés sur les principes de l'éducation non formelle: dynamique de groupe, méthodes interactives, travaux en sous-groupes et en plénière.
Langue de travail :
Les langues de travail seront l’anglais et le français.
Pour certains ateliers, les participants seront répartis en deux groupes linguistiques : francophone et anglophone. Afin de maintenir une dynamique de coopération et de réflexion entre tous les participants, le programme comportera des activités qui rassembleront les différents groupes.
Profil des participants:
• 24 participants de plus de 18 ans issus des pays du Programme et des pays du Partenariat oriental
• Travailleurs de jeunesse, responsables « jeunes » de projets de mobilité (plus de 18 ans)
- qui ont développé ou encadré des projets de mobilité internationale individuelle ou collective
- qui souhaitent acquérir une connaissance pratique de l’évaluation des projets de mobilité
• une connaissance de base de l’anglais est souhaitable pour la dynamique du séminaire

Costs
As far as the Programme countries of Youth in Action are concerned, the costs of the activity (programme, accommodation, food) are taken in charge by the BIJ.
Travel costs are taken in charge by the respective National Agencies.
For the Eastern Partnership Window countries, the costs of the activity (programme, accommodation, food) are taken in charge by the BIJ as well as the international transport (but not the visa costs).
Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
