Training Course

3-12 August 2012 | Negotino, Republic of North Macedonia

This training course will be dynamic, using interactive and non-formal learning methods. Participants will play a central role in creating and developing plays of Forum and Image Theatre method for the benefit of their organization.
This training course is open for voluntary and professional youth workers, trainers working directly with young people, that are interested in social problems, but are not yet working with the method of Theatre of the Opressed. The participants must be able to develop and implement a local/regional/ national/ international project afterwards and be motivated to act as multipliers of this method. Participants should be at least 18 years old from one of the following countries : Romania, Slovenia, Germany, Italy, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Belgium, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Macedonia. Goals of the project: • To improve communication, leadership and motivational skills of the participants • To discuss and explore the issues (especially the problems) facing by Young People and to identify the commonalities therein and how we might best help youth to address them. • To develop the Non-Formal Education Facilitation Skills of the participants, especially the use of Drama / Theatre (in particular shape of Forum and Image Theatre) as tools for working with Youth in their own communities. • To develop youth workers social theatre facilitation skills as a special tool for the inclusion; • To foster a ‘pro-active attitude’ amongst the participants and to pass-on this attitude, so that it might be multiplied within those youth and communities that we work with. • To build an awareness on social theatre methods for youth leaders and to take the first steps towards the creation of a network of forum and image theatre multipliers among youth leaders at a local, regional, national and international level

Centre for Regional Sustainable Development (CRSD) is a non - governmental organization for social promotion in the civil field, promoted by a group of young people committed to supporting the process of European integration, established in October 2009.
Thanks to tools like life-long learning, non-formal education, intercultural dialogue, exchanges and networking, our organization aims to develop active citizenship educational programs in a European context, especially in the fields of Youth, Equal opportunities, Social Inclusion, Human Rights and Gender balance.
The staff of Centre for Regional Sustainable Development has an extensive experience in several EU Programmes, especially in the field of Youth. For the European 'Youth in Action' Programme, we co-operated in projects, facilitated Youth Exchanges abroad, organized and run Training Courses as well as non-formal learning activities and also working as Sending, Hosting and Cooperating organization in European Voluntary Service (EVS) with reference number 2010-SI-90.
We also managed local and regional-level projects, workshops and activities on non-formal education intervention methods, facilitating working group sessions and group dynamics. Within CRSD operates Youth Debate Club aimed to motivate young people for building active Citizenship and sustainable partnerships.

Costs

This project is funded by the Youth in Action Programme 100 % for accommodation will be covered and 70% of travel cost (Apex tickets) will be reimbursed after receiving original receipts.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
