Contact Making Seminar "Tbilisi Takeoff"

Four full working days - arrival 26th March until evening (Monday), departure 31th March from morning (Saturday) 2012.

Place: beautiful Tbilisi :-)

Aims

• To enhance the cooperation between organisations within the Action 2 - European Voluntary Service and Action 3.1 - Cooperation with the Neighbouring Partner Countries of the Youth in Action Programme between five Programme Countries (i.e., Austria, Germany, Ireland, Norway and Slovenia) and six Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine);
• To promote new opportunities for international youth cooperation within Eastern Partnership Youth Window;
• To develop new project on inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities  living in rural or deprived urban areas;

Objectives

• Bringing together people working with young people in order to create new project ideas within the Youth in Action Programme;
• Creating an atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, etc.;
• Providing knowledge about the possibilities of cooperation within the Youth in Action Programme with special focus on Eastern Partnership Youth Window;
• Presenting examples of efficient and successful cooperation within Eastern Europe and the Caucasus;
• Building new partnerships between Programme countries and partners from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus  with a clear commitment to provide support to young people with fewer opportunities living in rural or deprived urban areas;

Participants

CMS "Tbilisi Takeoff" will bring together 40 voluntary and professional youth workers from Austria, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Slovenia and Eastern Partership countiries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine): youth leaders and project coordinators working directly with youngsters, who are interested in setting up YiA projects for young people from rural or deprived urban areas.

Participants profile:

• Active youth worker;
• Have motivation to develop new projects within Action 2 - European Voluntary Service and Action 3.1 - Cooperation with the Neighbouring Partner Countries under the Youth in Action Programme for young people from rural or deprived urban areas
• Be entitled to initiate projects on behalf of their organisation
• Available to actively attend the full duration of the course
• Able to communicate in English, the working language of the seminar

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection will be carried out by organisers of the seminar, based on the criteria specified in the "participants profile" section.

The applicants are requested to fill in the on-line application form. The call for participants will be open till 26th of February 2012.

The selected participants will be informed directly till 5th of March 2012.

Team of the trainers

Team will be composed of 3 trainers experienced in international cooperation within European Community Youth in Action Programm:

• Marcus Vrecer from Austria
• Giorgi Kakulia from Georgia
• Jan Fredrik Grøndal Henriksen from Norway

Moreover the representatives of Austrian and Norwegian National Agencies of the YiA Programme as well as the the representatives of the SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centres will join the team.

Organisers

This activity is organised by the Austrian and Norwegian National Agencies of the Youth in Action Programme together with the SALTO Eastern Europe and Caucasus Resource Centres.

Financial Conditions

• The board and lodging during the training course for all participants was provided by organisers,
• Travel costs of participants from Eastern Europe and Caucasus will be covered by organisers on the basis of original tickets and invoices,
• Travel costs of participants from Programme Countries were paid by relevant National Agency on its own principles,
• Local transport and insurance costs have to be covered by the partcipants. Please bring the documents to confirm this contribution.
