The Symposium aims at exploring the Pathways towards recognition of non-formal learning/education and of youth work in Europe 2.0 paper and developing road maps to implementation of its recommendations.
The Symposium is a co-operation project between the Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth, the German YiA NA JUGEND fuer Europa, the European Youth Forum and the SALTO Training and Cooperation RC. The Symposium offers about 20 places for youth worker, trainer and other practioners to whom this call is addressed. Applications should be filled at http://youth-partnership-eu.coe.int/youth-partnership/seminars/seminar_12.html. The Symposium aims at establishing a common ground for a medium and long-term coordinated strategy toward recognition of youth work and non-formal learning in Europe with the involvement of actors and stakeholders from the various sectors of policy concerned. It will gather about 100 participants from – among others – youth organisations, researchers, representatives of the European Commission and the Council of Europe, SALTO Resource Centres and National Agencies as well as other stakeholders such as the European Youth Forum, national governments, social partners, UN agencies (ILO, UNESCO), World Bank or Employers Organisations.
