12-14 March 2010 | Thessaloniki, Valaoritou street 18, Greece

The purpose is to develop your idea for a story you want to tell using audiovisual media, including style, photography, choices of hero. This work is the foundation of any audiovisual media production.
Purpose: To develop your idea for a story you want to tell using audiovisual media Goals: • Find your style of storytelling (imagery, sound, concept) • Give and get feedback on your story idea(s) • Practise getting your message across (verbal and non-verbal, audiovisual and written) • Do practical planning in a creative and resourceful environment, supported by an experienced team made up of a cinema professional, a personal development trainer and volunteers of the organisation • Prepare the base for a professional documentary production • Meet and work with people with similar artistic, social or intellectual interests Requirements: • There are no formal requirements for participating in this workshop • Participants from previous Universal “i” Workshops or Trainings will be given priority • You are expected to arrive with an idea or mental picture of a documentary you want to make. We do not expect more than this, and you are free to interpret this guideline according to your understanding. • Youth NGO workers, Civil Society Actors and youth from less-opportunities background will be given priority Trainer and Facilitation The trainer of this course is Alberto Coletta (IT), documentarist and media educator. The activities and his work will be supported and facilitated by Miki Ambrozy (HU), personal development trainer and coach.

Costs

Participation fee of 175 euros. There is a 25% discount for volunteers of Global Soma and persons from a less-opportunity background. We offer 5 free hosting places for the first 5 applicants that confirm their participation. Please be aware that food and travel is not covered by the event!
