Aim of this conference is to provide students and young colleagues, who are between 16-25 years old, a unique opportunity to learn about the inner workings of UN, discuss global problems in order to find solutions.

This year, our aim is to take MUNTR up to a new level of academic learning and personal development through the implementation of a new vision, while bringing together more than 600 participants. Join us this year between 1 and 5 March 2010 in Antalya to; - Experience heated debates on the most up-to-date topics in 5 General Assembly Committees, the Security Council and 4 Special Committees, - Establish everlasting friendships with people from various cultures and countries, - See the world from the eyes of an esteemed diplomat living in luxury, - Have the chance to enjoy the unique social events of MUNTR and, - Experience the famous Turkish hospitality in the Mediterranean coast, the cradle of ancient history. The applications for delegations, individuals, press team and committee director and observer positions are now open!

Promoting MUN through conferences and educational activities is the primary aim of the Model United Nations Association in Turkey, the parent body of MUNTR. We believe that MUN is a suitable and effective medium to help the “creation” of a world that is based on understanding, utilizing the power of cultural exchange through international dialogue. In the light of the principals of the United Nations, our entity has provided a multi-cultural environment for more than 3000 participants to come up with solutions to political, social and cultural issues by simulating the bodies of the United Nations for the past six years. As a result of this devotion, MUNTR 2009 in Izmir, has brought together more than 500 participants from different high schools and universities around the world; gaining the title of the most comprehensive MUN conference organized in Turkey and in the neighboring countries.
