11-17 January 2010 | Prishtina, KOSOVO * UN RESOLUTION

The main aims of this training course are to join together 27 youth leaders / workers coming form different region of Europe (SEE and EU), in order to empower them with competencies on citizenship.
- To provide participants with key concepts for active citizenship and key concept relating to it - To enable participants to reflect on meaning and understanding of Active European citizenship, Democratic Citizenship, youth participation - To share experiences in relation with youth work among participants coming from different realities and civil societies (SEE and EU) - To empower participants to use non formal education as a mean of empowering young people - To provide tools how they can access to active citizenship (inequality/diversity/discriminations in participation, social in/exclusion etc.). - To use Youth in Action Program as an Instrument to foster European Citizenship (above all Action of the program) - To provide tools, information, knowledge for participants in order they can act as multipliers in their organization setting up project which foster European citizenship - To create new bridges of contacts between participants coming from SEE region and EU countries for further future cooperation

“Earth Savers” is a nongovernmental organisation established and licensed by Ministry of Public Affairs of Kosovo on 07.06.2004.
NGO Earth Savers is a member of Cooperation and Development Network of Eastern Europe – CDN, Network of Organic Agriculture – Avalon and cooperates with Federation of Young European Greens – FYEG,and with other NGOs within Kosovo and abroad, by implementing local and regional projects hosting and participating in international seminars, conferences and other joint activities.
In accordance with its intern statute and in accordance with a common statute of CDN and AVALON the NGO Earth Savers has these main objectives:

-to prevent environmental degradation and its gradual improvement,
-to promote organic agriculture,
-to integrate civil society in Kosovo and global environmental problematic by inclusion of different ethnic groups
-to promote voluntarism and build multiethnic clime,
-to defend human rights,
-to promote youth participation in decision-making process
-to promote European cooperation and strength cooperation especially with EU countries,
-to promote cultural, ethnic and religious diversity and mutual understanding,
-to strength cooperation between young population-civil society and other GO and NGO

Costs

Programme will be financed under Youth In Action programme and the reimbursment will be based in youth guide. (70% of travel, 100% of food and accomodation).
