ATOQ Advanced Training On Quality - The Netherlands
ATOQ (Advanced Training On Quality) is meant for youth workers with some experience in organising international Youth Exchanges. The training will help to assess past projects and to improve the quality of exchanges.
Aims:
- to offer methods for non-formal learning
- to improve the quality of your future Youth Exchanges
Objectives:
- to deepen knowledge, skills, and attitudes in organising a YiA Youth Exchange
- to evaluate youth workers' experience in international Youth Exchanges
- to evaluate the impact of Youth Exchanges on young people
- to reflect on the content of a YiA Youth Exchange (intercultural learning, diversity, active participation of young people, partnership, evaluation, and follow-up)
- to promote the concept of citizenship in Youth Exchanges
- how to use the new methods in your everyday work
Participant profile:
- Professional or voluntary youth workers, working directly with young people
- Have organised/participated as a team member in at least one Youth Exchange in the YOUTH or Youth in Action Programme
- Planning of organising a Youth Exchange in the Youth in Action Programme
- at least 18 years old
- able to communicate at a good level of English
ATOQ can promote partner finding, although it is not an objective in the training course.
The ATOQ programme is intensive, but offers time for social occasions and sharing experiences. The feedback on the ATOQ training course has been very positive, and previous participants claim they have learned a lot in planning and implementing Youth Exchanges.
The training course is organised in YMCA De Glind in De Glind (in the centre of The Netherlands, near Amersfoort).

The costs for the training course, accommodation, and meals will be paid by the Dutch National Agency. Travel costs will be covered by the sending National Agencies. Please contact your National Agency for more details. In some countries participants have to pay a small participants fee. Participants are not insured by the organisers. Everyone has to take care of their own travel insurance.
